Scratches

We take your car from rough to buff!

The What Scratch? Sprayless Scratch Repair (SSR) system was originally designed for the removal of automotive scratches. Our proven system has been developed and refined over a period of 18 years so we're confident that our scratch repairs are far superior to that of our competitors.

Your car may have a single scratch or multiple scratches and may have been caused by car doors, bushes, keys, trolleys, vandals, bikes, pets..the list is endless. A mobile What Scratch? technician will assess the damage to the paintwork and provide you with a no obligation quote. Removing scratches from your car's paintwork will not only keep it looking its best but also help hold the car's value should you decide to trade or sell it.

With no spraying involved, the system is completely environmentally friendly and can be undertaken at your home or office.

What is SSR?

SSR is a Sprayless Scratch Repair system that provides a permanent cosmetic repair for damaged paint on any vehicle. Scratches, scuffs and chips become virtually undetectable in a fraction of the time and for a fraction of the cost of having the panel resprayed at a panel shop or "touched up" by a mobile spraypainter.

Where does it come from?

SSR has been developed by Chuck White of Dallas, Texas, USA. Chuck has spent the last 18 years perfecting the SSR products and processes out in the field.

In 2002, SSR was launched into the American market where today approximately 300 technicians use their system. In the UK, SSR has been used since 2004 and there are a similar number of technicians operating in Europe.

Having been in the paint reconditioning business since 2002 themselves, and having tried many different techniques and products, What Scratch? immediately recognised that they had found the ultimate process of repairing paintwork.

Subsequently, What Scratch? IP Pty Ltd. bought the exclusive distribution rights to use SSR products in Australia and New Zealand.

Chuck came to Perth in 2008 to train the What Scratch? Pty Ltd Directors in all aspects of SSR production and application, to ensure that What Scratch? would have the best possible knowledge base on which to distribute and use this world leading scratch repair system.

How does it work?

The SSR process is accomplished in three simple steps.

  1. The scratch is cleaned and the patented SSR base paint colour is applied.
  2. The area is then buffed to remove excess paint using the patented SSR polish.
  3. The excess polish is wiped off with a microfibre towel to reveal the restored duco.

Who can use SSR?

Only What Scratch? technicians.

Our mobile technicians are available in Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and Busselton.
